In any case, with the countless number of FFVIII copies out there, I don't know what's stopping them from uploading it on the PSStore like they did with FFVII & FFIX. The fact they're planning to give it the full remake treatment isn't a valid reason since they uploaded the FFVII port with the fast forward perks and what not, and it's being given the full remake treatment since a long time ago...
Still waiting for Final Fantasy VIII on the PSN store , with the same fast forward functionality as FFVII and FFIX, dammit. Whenever you want, Squeenix...
Err, dunno, maybe because on PS consoles you know it's always gonna work when you turn it on? I just tried to play a vid on my PC which seems to have killed it an hour ago. The PS4 Pro is far from perfect, but no BSOD is a considerable solace.
1) Best hardware? Partly. The best console for millions of consumers is still the base PS4.
2) Sony also have that number, and they're much bigger studios, each capable of outputting more AAA blockbuster titles than all of MS's put together

Gee, thanks for the link, but those hard-drives there are external, so I'll probably use it to buy one to store my 4K movies to run them on my PS4 Pro Media Player... sucks that I need to find free software that will convert all those HEVC/MKV vids in H.264/MP4 ones, as the PS4 Pro Media Player won't play them otherwise. Why would they go back to the third-person view after RE7? We had the 3 original RE games with fixed camera angles (RE1, 2, 3), the next 3 with the over-the-shoulder view (RE 4, 5, 6), shouldn't the next 3 all have the FPS view...?!

Maybe they've finally developped a real account system this time, so their consumers will get to keep their NES games and play them on Ninty's next-gen system. But with the purchases made on the Wii and the Wii U now down the drain, people should be cautious with Nintendo.
I was in the Beta of Anthem a couple months back, and it was VERY bland and empty. It's not one open world, it has several different locations you choose on a map like some people assume, they don't seem to be interconnected, but each one is a very wide and sprawling area, but with very few enemies. Good thing the environments are about as vertical as they are horizontal. Bad thing the graphics were nothing like what had been shown in the trailer. Hope they fix that for the final buil...
I wish they'd have included it as an extra during NG+. They added one in one of the bonus playable areas of RE5 gold back then, so there's no reason not to this time...

I believe that Resident Evil 2 Remake still uses that 3D engine seen in the Resident Evil Revelations games, which ran on portable consoles originally.

I'm curious to know what kind of PC you need to run a huge AAA title with huge production values like God of War III in 4K. More specifically, I'm curious to know how much it would cost me. I still own my CE copy of GOWIII of course, but my PS3 is slowly dying (and my DS3 is as good as dead already), and in times like these where the system's production has stopped, emulation is wonderful to give all those great PS3 games a second life.
Lots of Metroidvania games I didn't know about in there. I bought the Castlevania Requiem bundle and, although the ending theme "I'm the wind" was replaced with some admittedly nice but generic piece of music, this port isn't anywhere near as bad as some made it out to be, so I really hope Konami will at some point come up with other Castlevania bundles (like 1, Simon's Quest, 3, and Super Castlevania IV) on the PS4.
